Abstract: There are obviously difference between orient and western logistics concent. The orient logistics concept much stress on the transfer to convey freight or person from supply to demand direction, especially the physical activity of materials, whereas the western logistics concept pay much attention to the process of supply china management systems. By summingup the orient logistics forming background, basic concept and operation management we can get a comparison of the two logistics thought among economist and enterprister since the world war two, in order to form economic logistics and discuss the integration between orient and western supply. chain management in the development of economics globality.

东方物流与西方Logistics在理念上存在着显著差异，东方物流理念强调从供给方向需求方的转移，注重物流的物理性移动,而西方Logistics理念则强调对供应链全过程的管理.本文试图通过对东方物流的产生背景、基本理念及运作方式与西方在二战后被经济界和企业家引用的Logistics的思想进行比较，探讨经济全球化之后东西方如何在供应链管理上进行融合，形成经济物流(Economic Logistics)^①.
