Abstract: This paper analyzes the characteristics of transport flow during the coming Olympic Games, and introduces the experiences of past games. Considering the requirements related to Olympic schemes, it advances some ideas on transport principles, planning and its implementation from the viewpoints of public transport development, transport demand managemet and organizational guarantee during the period so as to achiece the target for Beijing Olympic Games to be the ‘Ever Best’ of Olympic history.

分析了奥运交通客流及其组织的特点，介绍了历届奥运会交通组织的经验与教训；论文结合奥运交通的要求，简介了北京奥运期间城市交通规划的基本思想和实时设想；从公共交通发展计划、交通需求管理、交通组织的安全保障等方面提出了搞好奥运交通组织，确保实现“最出色奥运会”目标的具体措施。
