The Minimum Sample Size Determination of Floating Car in Beijing Expressway

北京市快速路浮动车最小样本量研究

Abstract: To ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information provided by floating car data (FCD), the paper considered remote traffic microwave sensor (RTMS) data as the real data to verify the validity of FCD. Then the different correlation coefficient between the gradually decreasing FCD via simple random sampling method and RTMS was calculated. Finally, the minimum sample size was obtained which guaranteed the validity of FCD. Furthermore, this results showed that 7 to 9 FCD are needed in Beijing Zhanxi Rd network’s 2nd ring Rd and 3rd ring Rd every kilometer in 5 minutes, and the current sample size FCD can meet the minimum sample size requirements by 73% and 87% in time and in space separately.

摘要: 为确保浮动车提供信息的准确性和可靠度,首先以RTMS数据作为真值来验证当前样本量条件下浮动车数据的有效性;然后通过简单随机抽样方法来逐步减少浮动车的样本量,并计算、比较不同样本量下的浮动车数据与RTMS数据的相关系数;最后得出确保浮动车数据有效所需的最小样本量. 经验证,本文研究范围内的二、三环快速路5 min时间间隔内每千米路段上需要的浮动车最小样本量为7~9个,而当前样本量条件下的浮动车数据在时间上和空间上能达到最小样本量要求的分别占73%和87%以上.
