Abstract: Applying the theory and methods of system science and system engineering, this paper introduces the characteristics, functions and structure of traffic and transport system engineering. The principles, procedures and methods of traffic and transport system(TTS) are also expounded in this paper.Combined with the basic principle of system theory, this paper explores the notion of coordinating of TTS, the methods of improving comprehensive transport capability and coordinating of organization and management. Finally, this paper analyzes the current situation of TTS,looks forward to the development of TTS and puts forwards some opinions of reform of TTS in China.

摘要： 运用系统科学和系统工程的理论与方法介绍了交通运输系统工程的特点、功能和结构.阐述了交通运输系统(多种运输方式的合成,即综合运输)规划的原则、程序和方法.结合系统理论的基本原理探讨了交通运输系统协调的内涵、提高综合运输能力的方法和有关组织管理上的协调问题.最后对我国交通运输系统的现状进行了分析,对我国交通运输系统的发展进行了展望,并提出了一些改革的建议.
