Abstract: It is positive significance of the Yangtze River shipping development to Shanghai International Shipping Center, but the potential of present golden channel has not been
exploited. To exert the predominance that the Yangtze River shipping has. the key is to activate the Yangtze’s drainage areas, to reduce the transportation cost. And the breaking
though point is to renew the ships. Therefore. we must strengthen the communication and cooperation of the Yangtze River Navigation Group, Shanghai and of her cities along the river, establish uniformly and effectively harmonized system, exchange ports plan information each other. collaborate mutually, and occupy different sides of the market. To stop the descent of economy in Yangtze River shipping, we should base transportation price and transportation service on a fine circulation, which is a reasonable payment with a high quality service.
combined with the characteristic of the development of container feeding for transportation in Yangtze River, the urgent affairs are to promote optimized standard types of ship, which may go directly to sea or river economically and adapt for navigating sections with modern communication technology.
