Abstract: It is significantly important to scientifically and reasonably assess the effect of the intelligent urban traffic management system on the development of urban transport and the improvement of social and economic benefits for the decision-making of the urban transport management. On the basis of the social and economic evaluations of the intelligent traffic management systems at home and abroad, by following the principle of evaluation index selection, in view of the traffic situation in Beijing, this study has established the index system to evaluate the social and economic benefits of the intelligent urban traffic management system for Beijing. At the same time, according to specific evaluation indices, the method of evaluating the intelligent traffic management system is studied.
