    2007, 7(2): 83-87 .
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1088KB) ( )
Bus stop is a kind of primary facility in bus operation, it is very important for providing possibility of passengers’ alighting and boarding. In initial stage of land-use & bus developing, simple design of stops is enough for buses’ dwelling and passengers’ boarding & alighting. But as land-use & bus system developing, simple design can’t meet the need of buses and passengers in some lines concentrated and passengers crowded bus stops. In those stops buses’ dwelling time increases, level of bus service descends. it is very necessary to research more about type and scale of stops to ensure the harmonization between capacity and need. After discussing types classification & applicability, stop capacity calculating, and bus operational characteristics, a method to determine type and scale of stop is given here. By the method, the type and scale of stops can be determined when buses and passengers amount is given. After all these, some examples are shown for implemental suggestions.

    2007, 7(2): 93-97 .
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1195KB) ( )
Inventory is a necessary process that can ensure the reasonable function of the supply chain, and the control on inventory management under the supply chain management is an important content of the supply chain management. Vendor Managed Inventory is a comparatively common method, which can effectively avoid magnifying demand, reduce the total cost of the supply chain, and enhance the efficiency of the supply chain. In this paper, after the analysis of the buyer’s, the seller’s profit function and that of the supply chain in a two-echelon supply chain with single manufacturer and one retailer was considered, a inventory controls model was establish, in which the profit of the supply chain is maximal. Then a model with invariable demand and a model with function demand under vendor managed inventory mode were established respectively, and the iterative method was used to solve the later case. In the paper, the price mechanism of regulating the retailer’s purchase price was taken to equipoise the both parties’ profit in the supply chain.

The Analysis of Compressed force in Crowds
    LU Chun-xia
    2007, 7(2): 98-103 .
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1651KB) ( )
The movement and force of crowds are analyzed from the micro-model at high density. The compression and deformation among crowds are emphasized, which is different from the classic models. The elastically deformation and the movement are close correlated. It is elastically deformation that results in the force spreading and accumulating through the crowds, which is the important cause of the disaster. The failure of crowd simulation at high density lies in its loss of force speading.

    2007, 7(2): 114-118 .
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1095KB) ( )
Network real-time traffic signal control problems can be decomposed into a series of sub-problems of manageable complexity and size using either hierarchical or fully distributed approaches. In the hierarchical approach, the network optimization problem is transformed into a multi-level control problem with distinct optimization objectives at each level. In the distributed approach, the network control problem is broken into a series of smaller problems that can be solved in parallel by independent processors. This paper presents system architecture for distributed real-time network signal control system with transit priority and signal optimization process, and describes the methodology for determining the most appropriate time for implementing signal switching decisions that explicitly considers upstream and downstream coordination impacts, vehicle queuing, transit activities.
